Avengers Assemble (12A) Described as… Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who’s who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster. Final verdict… Having Joss Whedon, a life-long fan of the Marvel universe, at the helm of this project did nothing more but instil confidence in me that this movie would be nothing short of AMAZING. So despite my very high expectations i’m pleased to report that I was in no way disappointed. As a Marvel fan myself I cannot pick a single fault with this film as it is a visual buffet of all the good stuff that not only has heart but runs with a very sly sense of humour that everyone will adore. The cast are amazing, The visuals are top notch, and the script is rich of Whedon’s flawless ability too pay attention to detail whilst still taking those moments to raise a smile with his wit. Regardless if you are a fan of the genre or not I am 100% confident you will love this movie!
